A native of Los Angeles, Julie grew up working for her
family business, a local record store, which inspired
her love of music – and forged a work ethic that
has enabled her to become a dual threat as a highly skilled
facialist and brow artist.
Julie prides herself on making
her clients feel at ease whether she is performing a full
facial or shaping a beautiful, natural arch.
Julie has
one secret weapon for crafting well-groomed brows: trimming
with scissors. According to Julie, “Trimming brow
hairs is super important. I trim a lot with scissors instead
of over- waxing because you can create a very defined
arch using just a pair of scissors. I like using angled
scissors to trim brows and you should always cut against
the hair. You should also cut each brow hair individually,
not a bunch at a time.”
“I had a woman
come to see me years ago, who had never had her eyebrows
done before. It was definitely time! They had a great,
natural shape but they were just long, overgrown, and
essentially hiding her face.
We started off slowly,
perfecting her new "well- groomed" look. With
each visit a little more hair came off, and she was
much more confident every time she left. After one visit,
she told me that she feels gorgeous -- people seem to
notice her more and look her in the eye. It was amazing
to watch her self-esteem transform. That is why I love
what I do.” |
