Amanda is a graduate of FIDM – Fashion Institute
of Design & Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles.
An accomplished artist who drew the pictures you see on
the BDB website, Amanda has sketched fashion illustrations
since she was seven years old and also designs clothing,
citing Stella McCartney, YSL and Tom Ford as her favorite
designers.
Complimenting her love of fashion design, Amanda
also paints with pastels and is inspired by the poppy,
surrealistic artwork of Mark Ryden.
Amanda’s artistic
talents carry over into her passion for creating the perfect
brow line – which she achieves every time she shapes
a client’s brows. “Keep it natural”
is Amanda’s number one rule, stating, “Full,
more naturally arched brows are in right now. When in
doubt, keep them full. The goal of BDB is to create a
full, natural shape.”
“I had a client that was getting her brows
waxed for the first time who wanted a more tailored
brow-line. By the time I was done she was so excited
to see the results that she was upset that she had not
gotten her brows waxed earlier.”
